The school opened in September 2010 in a church off Rome Hilliard Road, becoming the first Montessori school in Hilliard. The school began with a single Children’s House classroom and quickly outgrew its original space as enrollment increased.

Our kids attend Hilliard Montessori and its been great. Both kids have gained a lot of skills and independence. Great group of kids there to make friends with. The stability of having the same teachers (who have been there for years) has been a huge for my anxious kid.
If anyone is looking for a great preschool, I’d highly recommend Hilliard Montessori. All 3 of our kids were enrolled there and it did wonders for their attention, behavior, and overall learning! Each teacher they had was patient and attentive. They are still friends with some of the kids they were in class with for the last 10 years!
I would like to share some kind words about our kids former Montessori school – Hilliard Montessori. It was a genuinely nurturing place – safe, peaceful, and full of meaningful learning. The Montessori curriculum helped our children grow in independence and confidence. The staff were always professional, respectful, and extremely kind to the students and families. I am very grateful this wonderful school is part of our community.
Our daughter blossomed at Hilliard Montessori. She gained amazing self-confidence, as well as math, science, and reading skills. She also developed a strong sense of her own ability to affect positive change in the world around her. I also appreciated the diversity of both the teaching staff and the families who attend the school. There are so many cultures, languages, and backgrounds represented. The family potlucks and celebrations were like world travel, without leaving home. My only regret is that my daughter has now aged out of their program and she can't continue to be a daily member of this loving community and learn from such amazing teachers. We highly recommend that you contact Hilliard Montessori to set up a visit if you are looking for daycare or a preschool experience for a child between 18 months and 6 years. Yes, they offer kindergarten too!
Our family has been part of Hilliard Montessori for the past seven years. We started when our oldest was just 18 months old, and now our younger son has just graduated from their kindergarten. We couldn’t be happier with our experience. One of the school’s greatest strengths is its leadership. The director, Ms. Sadhana, has many years of experience, and it shows in every aspect of the school. She genuinely listens to parent feedback, especially regarding guides, and takes action when needed. Because of this, the teaching staff is exceptional. A very special thank you to Ms. Erin, who taught both of our boys. She has had such a positive impact on them. Through her guidance, they developed a love of learning, gratitude, respect for nature, independence, and confidence. We have been amazed by how much they learned academically while also growing into kind, thoughtful children. She has been truly wonderful with both of our sons. We also want to recognize Ms. Latha, who joined the school a few years after our oldest started and was also a guide for both of our boys. She genuinely loves our boys, and it shows every day. She always has a smile on her face and makes every child and parent feel welcome. What truly makes Hilliard Montessori special is the people. All of the guides are happy, caring, and welcoming, creating an environment where everyone feels like family. The school also does an excellent job communicating with parents, notifying families of school events well in advance and making it easy to stay involved. We are incredibly grateful for the past seven years at Hilliard Montessori and highly recommend it to any family looking for a nurturing, well-run Montessori school. Both of our boys have been so well prepared academically while also developing confidence, independence, and a genuine love of learning.
